Custom Stamps
Alright, let’s talk about the art of making your disc golf discs stand out. This isn’t just for clubs or events, it’s also for the individual and communities!
The space available to work with is 4″ x 4″, the larger the more expensive. Within that space, there are some guidelines to follow to ensure your design turns out just right.
Your design needs to be 100% black & white, camera ready, at 300 ppi at print size or higher. If that’s Greek to you, don’t worry. Just understand that these specifications ensure your design looks sharp and clear when it’s stamped on your disc.
When it comes to the details of your design, avoid solid areas larger than a thumbnail and keep your line weights between 1pt and 18pt. If you’re including text, make it 12 points or larger to keep everything legible. And while it might seem like the middle of your design is prime real estate, remember the sprue on the disc’s underside might cause some print irregularities.
If you need assistance in creating or tweaking your artwork, don’t sweat it. We’ve got options. For simple changes, I can handle that here. For more substantial design work, there may be additional costs involved. If you’re starting from scratch, consider hiring an artist on Fiverr or sourcing copyright-free images.
Keep in mind, whatever artwork you bring to the table needs to be either original or something you have the rights to use. I can’t stress this enough – make sure you’re in the clear legally before we move forward with printing. And while I’m all for creativity and self-expression, let’s avoid anything that could be viewed as violent, vulgar, or offensive. Disc golf is all about fun, and we want to keep it that way.
Once you’re all set with your design, send it over and let’s get to making some awesome custom discs. Your game is unique, your discs should be too!
